With the beginning of the pandemic I started to shift my photographic interest more towards the smaller world. Which is as challenging as photographing birds. Yes, I don’t have to haul the big lens (AF-S 500mm F4) with me, but I still have to use a tripod and a flash. And when I wanna get close, like 1:1, I need a focusing rail (KES FR-3). Technically it seams different to the big rig, but in the end its all the same. You need the right, tools, technique and knowledge about your subject. The same as with bird photography. And finding those little buggers ain’t easy either.
