The bananas are now ready to be plugged. Although they are not ready to be eaten yet. After we plug them we separate each banana from the stem and lay them on the kitchen counter. We are going to separate them in the garden, because the juice which comes out of them is very gooey and not easy to clean up. After that it will take another week or so until they are ready to be eaten. The process can be rushed when we would lay an apple next to them. But we rather wait. As the saying goes; ‘Good things come to those who wait’.
